Elemental Artisanship Academy was founded from my calling to create sacred jewelry. My favorite thing about crafting grounding jewelry is that every piece is intentional. When a person wears EARTHINGwARE they have adorned their aura in grounding amulets and talismans that interact with nature both externally and internally to raise their vibration. From the start, my goal to foster wellness through my handmade art was clear, and my capacity to achieve it was strengthened over time as I further developed my intuition (fire), practicality (Earth), intellect (wind), emotion (water) and spirit (Time and Space).

By the 5th year of crafting jewelry I felt slightly stagnant, so I took a trip to the Central Library of Philadelphia. On this trip I aligned with two books: one on the human hands and one on the ancestral power of amulets and talismans. Around that same time, I was reading a book on the interconnectedness between humans and our planet Earth. Pulling knowledge from these books further ignited my internal fire, wind and water and my brand started evolving. I was grateful to align perfectly with this new knowledge, and I now had the language to better explain all the things I experienced in the process of creating sacred jewelry. Now I was able to refine the way I approached my art, and I began to notice a true difference in how EARTHINGwARE  jewelry was helping to ground people.

An evolution was taking place as I stepped more into my mission. I become a grounding influencer, began teaching crafting lessons; and most importantly I added more intention to my process for creating custom work. Customers would express to me how connected they were to their pieces, and that my creations were grounding them in affirmations of wellness, just as I intended it to. This was a direct result of my deeper understanding for the sanctity of my hands and jewelry culture. And after more years of putting a lot of energy into grounding and crafting, life in spiral motion had even more in store for me. In fact, I could feel a rebirth beginning to take place when I became pregnant with my Sun...

After being a stay-at-home Mom for a few years I shifted focus to finding a job when I found out that I was having another child. Even with my bachelors of arts degree and plenty of experience I was unable to secure a position because I was being gently redirected. At 3 months pregnant I rose one morning with the idea to create a program for aspiring jewelry artisans. "Jewelry Culture & Sacred Crafting" rolled off my tongue with ease as if it had been brewing in my subconscious for a while. I knew that I wanted to focus on jewelry culture and the power of our hands as a way to genuinely connect the maker with this sacred artform, while offering a unique experience outside of the mundane how-to jewelry workshops.

It was truly divine how the program began to take form, keeping in mind my biggest inspiration: nature. So naturally the elements (Earth, Wind, Water & Fire) became the educational framework for a completely balanced artisan enrichment program. Understanding that these elemental factors can be applied to all handcrafters of cultural art, I started Elemental Artisanship Academy with the vision to expand, eventually serving handcrafters of all kinds.
